MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
The information contained on this membership page is subject to change at the discretion of the New York Wedding Program (NYWP) and its members. The NYWP main office is located in upstate NY. We are open Monday-Friday, and outside regular business hours by appointment for clients and vendors. Our office is closed on US holidays.
The NYWP is a network of elite professionals who believe in delivering the best products and services to their clients. Working together, we support each other by referring clients, promoting one another’s businesses through multiple forms of advertising and word of mouth, building packages tailored to each client’s needs, and more. Our members get access to exclusive client lists, great discounts on area events, and enjoy increased sales and market share as a result of being a NYWP member. Our members tell us that their return on investment is FAST! Their membership dues pay for themselves quickly through the increased business they are getting. New member benefits are also added regularly.
Membership Levels
Basic Membership: Perfect for a business who is just starting out. Your abbreviated website listing will put your name in front of our couples, and opting out of receiving leads can save you money on membership.
Standard Membership: Our most popular membership level gives you the tools to grow your business. Your standard listing, and once-a-month leads lists will allow you to connect with couples in your area, and get more sales.
Premium Membership: Our top-tier membership level is for business who want to stand out from the crowd. Your spotlight listing, complete with your own branding, and twice-monthly leads lists will give you an edge over your competition.

Terms of Membership
All NYWP Members will:
-
Comply with the NYWP Code of Conduct (below)
-
Agree to a business facility inspection by the NYWP, as applicable
-
Submit a business biography / resume to the NYWP
-
a valid, professional website qualifies
-

Submit at least five (5) client testimonials or professional references
-
testimonials on website also qualify
-
-
Offer qualifying clients a 10% discount or equivalent upgrade
-
To qualify, Client must book a minimum of five (5) NYWP members (vendors) for their event
-
NYWP will provide a contract when discounts are applicable
-
Venue and Catering discount/upgrade is 5% total, pre-tax.

Promote your fellow NYWP members to clients.
To Apply for Membership
Read and agree to the Member Code of Conduct below, and fill out the Application for Membership.
Submit your payment by credit card, or call our office directly at 518.792.6092 to pay by phone.
Member listings will appear on the NYWP website within 7 business days of receiving your application, dues, and logo, as applicable.

New York Wedding Program
MEMBER CODE OF CONDUCT
NYWP Associates, and Venues must comply with the following professional standards.
Appropriate written notice will be provided if the NYWP alters these terms.
Regarding membership and other vendors, Associates, and Venues will:

Meet minimum qualifying criteria as set forth by the NYWP

Actively promote the NYWP, its members, its benefits, and its role in helping clients plan special events
-
Operate a professional business that is an asset to the NYWP and to the community
-
Maintain an operable business telephone, physical storefront, email address, and website (as appropriate)
-
Obtain and keep current:
-
required business license/s
-
general liability insurance
-
workman’s compensation
-
disability insurance for employees
-
vehicle liability insurance on company vehicles
-
-
Display the NYWP logo and web link (to be provided) on your website home page, wedding page, or links page
-
Display the NYWP Membership certificate or plaque prominently in your place of business
-
Display the NYWP Membership certificate or plaque at ALL wedding shows you attend
-
Treat other professionals (members and non-members) with respect
-
Refer business to complementary members of the New York Wedding Program
-
Provide printed and web-based NYWP marketing materials to prospective clients as appropriate
-
Make all payments due to NYWP on time
-
Return contact by the NYWP office in a timely manner
-
NOT share our lists or sales leads with any NON-NYWP members
-
Any member who is found to be violating this condition will be subject to automatic dismissal from the NYWP without a refund

Complete wedding bookings, for us to share with the other members
-
Provide the NYWP with your own sales leads, as you see fit
Regarding clients, all members will:

Provide a formal written contract for all goods and services provided to clients
-
Represent clients fairly and honestly, providing cost-efficient and professional services
-
Satisfy client disputes immediately, fairly and with professional consideration for the NYWP
-
Honor all contracts entered into during period of membership, with any NYWP clients
